Musée Saint-Raymond<p>Plusieurs <a href="https://piaille.fr/tags/%C3%A9p%C3%A9es" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>épées</span></a> en bronze et quelques autres armes (poignards, pointes de lances) ont été découvertes dans la <a href="https://piaille.fr/tags/Garonne" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Garonne</span></a>, au niveau de gués permettant de traverser le fleuve.</p><p>C’est le cas de celle-ci, découverte à <a href="https://piaille.fr/tags/Toulouse" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Toulouse</span></a> au 19e siècle.<br>Elle mesure 74 cm et pèse près de 600 g.</p><p>Objets de valeur, symboles de pouvoir, les épées, quand elles étaient jetées dans le fleuve, représentaient certainement une offrande de prix destinée à s’attirer la protection des dieux ou des ancêtres.</p>
