I have been buying my #train tickets on @12train for a few months now and have been globally happy with the experience. The site is clean, fast, and sufficiently ethical from a surveillance capitalism perspective, which puts them head and shoulders above the competition.

My only issue has been around the proper application of Railcard discounts for accompanying passengers. I usually travel solo so it doesn't come up much, but when I'm travelling with a companion, I still have to use e.g. Trainline. I have raised the issue and hopefully it will get addressed in the future!

Still, top marks and I highly recommend you check out 12train out for all your #TER, #TGV, #Intercités, #Eurostar, and #Lyria ticketing needs. 😀

Eurostar trains canceled after cables were cut in northern France.

Several Eurostar trains between London and Paris were cancelled on Wednesday after more than 600 meters of cables were vandalised in northern France.

Six trips between London and Paris were cancelled, and some trains between London and Brussels were delayed.

#Interrail day 5/7: barely started in #NeustadtWstr I noticed a mail from #SNCF that my #ICE from #Strasbourg to #Paris was canceled so I would miss my #eurostar to #London 🫩
But as I’m still testdriving I accepted the challenge. SNCF in Strasbourg changed my reservation to a #TGV two hours later, and in Paris I was simply shifted to the next leaving Eurostar, as easy as that 😳 (double-check class!)
From London I took a reservation-free #EMR to #Nottingham and then my #brompton to the hotel 😊

I was hoping the ICE from Berlin to Paris would be a bit more reliable 😒
Quite an old TGV with little luggage racks, but my brompton always fits 😂
In class „H“ (which you’ll get with a first class global pass) you are treated with food, hot and cold beverages and even wines (bio)
