Rule of Cool - this game would explore a world that’s imaginative and unpredictable, yet tonally consistent. Things wouldn’t have to make sense logically, only stylistically. Hence “the rule of cool”. A good example of that would be Alex Raymond’s #FlashGordon comic book or its 1980s movie adaptation. #barsoom novels by E. R. Burroughs or #StarWars movies are also great examples. 2/?

So I wondered what happens if you combined the campiest elements of the Flash Gordon serials, 1960s Barbarella, and a dash of Captain Proton. Then had a lead as a dashing trans dude facing up against an evil empire and constantly getting his shirt ripped in between seducing the local princesses (a la James T Kirk).

If you want some silly queer camp retro scifi, I'll be dropping mini chapters every now and then on my accounts here...

For #ThrowbackThursday - and I hope @MathC won't mind me sharing this as he's present - here's a shot from my 30th birthday where I asked everyone to come to the pub in science fiction costumes, home-made if possible. I converted a leather jacket, combat trousers, and DIY equipment into an appalling Borg outfit but I did have a tube running down my arm I could use in a Borg-like manner to drink beer which was fun.
