And ActivityPub C2S is honestly too cumbersome to use directly from client apps.</p><p><a class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" href="https://hollo.social/tags/GraphQL" target="_blank">#<span>GraphQL</span></a> would give us type safety, efficient data fetching (only get what you need), and the ability to evolve the API without breaking clients. <a class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" href="https://hollo.social/tags/Relay" target="_blank">#<span>Relay</span></a>'s features for pagination, caching, and optimistic updates seem perfect for social apps.</p><p>Would this be valuable to our community? LornaJane Change the fields returned by your API by offering more representations of the resources. This under-appreciated feature of API design can help teams to get the best from their API for multiple use cases, without the need to switch to GraphQL. <p><a href="https://lornajane.net/posts/2025/better-rest-before-graphql" class="" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">https://lornajane.net/posts/2025/better-rest-before-graphql</a></p>

I was made redudant from my first #SoftwareEngineering job at a start up a few months back. I have been doing a couple of freelance jobs here and there but I prefer the stability of something more long term.
I am looking for a #remote position within Spain.
3 years experience as a web app #FullStackDeveloper in #javascript with #React #NextJS #MongoDB #GraphQL
I have a little experience with Vue and mySQL too.
Currently learning #Typescript and looking to start a web accessibility course in the summer.
I have been described as "product minded and user focused".
