When I joined #Netflix in 2021 almost all of the services were running on #Java 8. Getting the service graph to a 17 runtime (then the latest LTS) was a non-trivial effort by the engineers on our #JVMEcosystem team, with much of the effort getting everything across the JPMS boundary that had shown up in Java 9.
