Trump #Justice ofcls unsuccessfully sought to block then-Mayor #RahmEmanuel (D) from entering into a consent agreement w/the #Illinois AG.

#MichaelCohen says he told David #Pecker, fmr publisher of #NationalEnquirer, that he had been told that the federal investigation Cohen faced would be “taken care of” by #JeffSessions, then the #UnitedStates #AttorneyGeneral. Cohen testifies that it was #Trump who told him that.

Cohen testifies he continued to deal w/ #StormyDaniels in early 2018 w/Trump’s backing & blessing. He says that the president asked him to get a temporary restraining order against Daniels.

Parker served as an asst AG under #JeffSessions [#RussianAsset], who went on to become US AG in the #Trump admin. He was an aide to [#rapist] #RoyMoore on the state Supreme Court in 2000 until Moore was dismissed in 2003 for ignoring a #federal #CourtOrder to remove a #TenCommandments monument he had installed in the #judicial bldg.

Lieu pointed out that all of the advisers were prosecuted by Trump appointees: #BillBarr, #MatthewWhitaker, & #JeffSessions. Wray, who was already leading the #FBI at the time, is also a #TrumpAppointee.
