I have so much hope for the @Liberux project. It would be a great achievement to have a phone that is truly designed for a Linux distro rather than the community try to retrofit a linux on opaque existing Android phones that majority of the time many parts doesn't work as good (e.g., wifi, Bluetooth).

Thanks to Ernesto at Ecaman and his modular design (with replaceable eMMC, modem, and RAM), we're working on a more affordable version.

After talking with our suppliers, we could offer an entry-level version with these specs, while still keeping the current version:

Looks like the #liberux #mobilelinux phone finally released their indiegogo. Looks pretty expensive for people to buy into a companies first product. The good thing about rk3588 base is atleast collabora is pushing the mainline development forward so if they go bust its not dead in the water. Its still too expensive though for a community to sprout from it like the pine devices. I wish them the best but it seems to expensive for me to purchase one with the risk of it not materializing.
