The program "Räuber & Beute" (Predator & Prey) for MorphOS, Windows and AmigaOS 3 by Ulrich Beckers is used to calculate, display and manipulate the population dynamics in a simple predator-prey system. The program is based on the Lotka-Volterra algorithm. It has also been extended with a few environmental parameters.

1) An overall falling birth rate, below replacement level in a rich country like the UK, is a GOOD THING.
2) If poorer families are disproportionately unlikely to have children, that is a BAD THING.
3) #DemographicSlowdown does bring challenges but they can be addressed. Clue: expect lots of #ClimateRefugees in coming decades.
