Ich habe hier noch ein ferngesteuertes Boot, das beim letzten Umzug beschädigt wurde. Das würde ich gerne wieder flott bekommen, weiß aber nicht wie ich das geklebt bekomme. Hat jemand zufällig einen Tipp dafür? Leider weiß ich nicht aus was für einem Kunststoff es gebaut wurde.

Es wurde irgendwann mal als "Atlantic Yacht" von einem chinesischen Hersteller verkauft. Gekauft habe ich es vor ca 12 Jahren gebraucht.

They invited the R/C club to fly. We got to take off from and land on the runway, how cool is that?

Only one serious crash, which sadly was Phil's very pretty Spitfire. I'm not sure if Dave's combat wing hitting mine counts as a crash; the propeller came off but I was able to glide the wing back down and it sustained no damage.

On the contrary, they've all done one switch already, about a decade before systemd came along in the Linux-based world.

#NetBSD pioneered a major switch in rc at the turn of the century, with Mewburn rc, which #FreeBSD followed two years later. #OpenBSD has a similar, but incompatible, system that it switched to.

In further contrast, OpenBSD has run with #Xenocara.

RC Airplanes are a wonderful and relaxing (depending on your craft, lol) hobby.
And it's also quite affordable with ready-to-go starter kits for just over $100.

But if you want to join an RC club to get access to an actual flying field, you have to shell out $50-$85 per year for the AMA (Academy of Model Aeronautics) membership in the US, and an additional $100 per year for most flying fields.

I mean, if you're serious about your hobby (any hobby), that might indeed be chump-change to you, but it's really not a trivial amount of money at all.

Bike & a Viking longboat, Stockholm Sweden.

The number of interesting sightings seems to be endless in this city. I’ve lived here since 1989 and not once felt myself bored. I can easily switch my point of view from a regular everyday Stockholm dude to a tourist and just watch the city flow around me like I was on a vacation in some place new to me.

It remains as simple. #s6, perp, runit, nosh, and even daemontools have simple chaining tools for the attributes and suchlike, and the original daemontools was doing restart on failure and logging, with tools for reporting service status, over a decade before systemd was invented, and before even upstart was.

A lot of the arguments about how great service units are are based solely upon van Smoorenburg #rc as a comparand, which is a fallacy.

Most people who make that argument don't realize that they're only talking about van Smoorenburg rc scripts, not about rc scripts in general, which in the likes of Mewburn rc and OpenBSD rc also put the common complex stuff into a library.
