"Calling this zombie coal project 'advanced' simply due to it already having been REJECTED by a joint federal & provincial review panel and deemed to be not in the public interest would be like crashing the car during your driving test then demanding a driver's license. Another thing you can do is ARM YOURSELF WITH KNOWLEDGE for when you're talking with friends, family or even your elected representative. Don't let anyone tell you Albertans want coal mining on our #EasternSlopes. Recent polling shows a STRONG MAJORITY are against it
"We also heard MLA #JasonNixon early in this game telling us 'hey, look, this isn't happening in pristine landscapes or in our headwaters'. Meanwhile, #CabinRidge is smack dab beside the #OldManRiver. Right? Inept, disengaged, or dishonest? I mean, pick one of those words."
"Trust was broken in this process, regulatory & government, no transparency TO THIS DAY. We had a call from #BrianJean. He made a promise: 'NO NEW COAL development in the #EasternSlopes. This was a fiasco with the former government. This won't happen if I'm in leadership.'"
