However, inducing a miscarriage remains a crime, punishable with up to life
in prison, and in recent years several women have found themselves in the
dock for ending their own pregnancies outside the strict legal parameters of
the 1967 act.

According to freedom of information data from the Crown Prosecution
Service, 13 people made a first appearance at a magistrates court charged
with abortion-related offences in 2022; four people in 2019; and three in each
of 2020 and 2021. The numbers include both men and women.

They kept that one quiet, didn't they?

Can anyone truly believe that a tiny minority of trans women — when
just 0.55 per cent of the UK population is any flavour of trans — are
simultaneously about to take every women’s job on a board while
hogging all the toilet cubicles in Britain? That cis men, the people
responsible for the vast majority of violent crime, need to resort to
subterfuge to hurt women? Never mind that to assume biological sex is
easy to define in humans, let alone in the weird wilds of the natural
world, belies a complete misunderstanding of modern science.

Yes, there are exceedingly rare criminal cases involving trans women
hurting other women before or after their transition. But there are so
many more cases of men hurting women, or indeed women hurting
other women. If by this logic we are all damned by the very worst of us,
‘what to make of the case of Nicola Murray, a vocal campaigner against
trans-inclusive refuges who had the support of “gender critical” group
Fair Play for Women? Murray has just been found guilty of sexually
assaulting four children. Are we to assume all campaigners for single-
sex spaces are suspicious, now?

Someone asked me today how I could be both a #feminist and a #trans ally and… let’s just say they got an *education* about #terfs vs true feminism for all women.

It was an education I was able to give in large part because of what I’ve learned from my trans friends here on fedi. So for everyone who took the time to answer my questions - thank you and I’m trying to pass your good work on

@zazielavraie les féministes qui excluent les femmes trans on appelle ça des #terfs. Les luttes se doivent d'être intersectionelles et réduire le féminisme à des ovaires ce n'est pas intersectionel.
