Travel from Lands End to John o'Groats entirely without entering a Tory constituency by taking two short boat trips:

from Bude to Barnstaple, a 40 mile skip along the beaches of North Devon, thus avoiding the constituency of Geoffrey Cox MP

400+ miles on you'll need to pop on a boat at Berwick-upon-Tweed to avoid a mere 25 miles of John Lamont MP's constituency

From there you are safe all the way to Caithness happy hiking!

Interesting observation from Choyaa about Ian Óg on the hellsite. For those who don't know him, I think that it is fair to say that Choyaa is a very respected commentator on PUL matters in NI.

#Labour's huge majority in #parliament had been long predicted. In the end it was a bit less than they'd hoped, and the mere 33% it represents is frankly embarrassing.

But there were some other #Leftist details of the #UKElection I was particularly focused on:

1. Would #JeremyCorbyn win as an independent in #IslingtonNorth after being deselected as a Labour MP? You know Labour threw everything they could at beating him.

Corbyn won with 49.2% of the votes, to Labour's 34.4%

Amazing result. Very happy.

But this is forever going to be the election when I remember hearing Alastair Campbell take a piss live on Channel 4 at 4.30 am. Some conversation. Some loud toilet flushing. Even the audible zipping up of his fly, before coming back to the table to show exactly whom we'd just heard.

I DO NOT WANT TO THINK ABOUT HIS REGIONAL ASSEMBLY!
