I'm a hobbyist photographer mostly shooting landscapes above water and amazing wildlife underwater whenever I'm lucky enough to have the opportunity. Sharing some images for #PortfolioDay, more at photos.shom.dev/

I've switched over to shooting fullframe mirrorless (#a7c) and processing with #darktable, go #foss! I've included the location of the images in the alt-text along with the image description (always looking to improve, feedback welcomed).

Wild Goose Island Viewpoint in Glacier National Park, MT, USA. Snow covered mountain peaks encircle a lake at twilight with a small island with a couple trees jutting out of the middle of the lake. The foreground is a panorama of pine trees obscuring parts of the late. The sky has a golden hue just after sunset and fluffy white and Grey clouds both in the middle and background.
Na'apli Coast, Kauai, HI. A lush tropical scene with a dirt path in the foreground curving left off screen, trees on the right obscure part of the turquoise blue ocean water. In the middle background there are some small peaks fully covered in lush vegetation and with folds forming ridges stretches in the far background alongside the ocean under blue skies.
Common Octopus, Blue Heron Bridge, FL. An octopus in close up with one eye visible and one of the tentacles teaching towards the camera and going off screen to the top right. The sucker's on the underside of the tentacle are visible and numerous.
Bearded fireworm, Bonaire, Dutch Carribean. A bright orange worm protrudes from the top left towards the center of the image against a pitch black background. The worm has a lot of textures on its body and has very fine hair sticking out at each segment. The textures look like lace folded upon themselves and while there is no indication of scale it is apparent that it is a macro shot and the details on the worm can't be seen so crisply without magnification.
