My first crescent moon! I took this shot just a couple of hours ago and it’s my clearest moon photo so far. I’m very pleased with it.

Last night we were treated to the Waxing Crescent Moon cozying up to the Pleiades star cluster just after sunset.

A low cloud was kind enough to pass in front of the moon when I took this photo, dimming its glow and revealing the line of craters while the unobscured stars were still shining brightly.

A quick heads-up that tomorrow there is a #LunarOccultation of #M45 #thePleiades visible from the UK. The #CrescentMoon shouldn't overpower the cluster too much. If you have binoculars it will look even better!

Late night view looking up into the dark night sky where colorful business buildings tower over the city, glowing with interior and ground lighting.
