The missus and I got into a bad habit of saving our nicer #wine for special occasions or when friends/family visited. Well family hasn't visited since before covid and special occasions seem to be few and far between. Because of that I just decided to open a #2011 #vintage of #TablasCreek 's #GSM "Panoplie" because I think we deserve it. #Grenache #Syrah #Mouvedre

A freezing but strangely rewarding day. The Terra Alta is a remote territory where Garnatxa Blanca (#Grenache blanc) reigns supreme, so much so that the Terra Alta has the largest concentration of Grenache blanc on the planet. Due to its altitude it has also a very large concentration of wind farms; energy companies took advantage of the poverty in the area and leased the fields for a song. The result is a bizarre landscape cohabited by ancient traditional agriculture and towering futuristic looking wind turbines.
