Bonjour Mastodon, j'ai enfin fini le pull totoro pour la nièce de mon conjoint. Je voulais lui donner à pâques, mais une vilaine grippe m'a cloué au lit et je n'ai pas pu finir à temps le peu qu'il me restait à faire... je lui ai quand même montré et elle était très contente. Je sais donc sur qu'il sera porté.

This is my childhood teddy bear, Bear! I am a huge fan of the Ghibli films and Totoro is my favorite, so of course I had to paint Bear hanging with Totoro in the rain! This was a nice challenge to see if I could create something from imagination.

Along with #Totoro and #Nekobasu, Lola Falafel basks in the studio window, soaking up the early morning sun.

The window is still covered by the winter’s plastic sealing, which helped keep the drafts out.

It will come off in a week or two, once spring has decided to stop pussyfooting around, and settles in for the duration. Can’t wait. Lola wants the windows open!

Can you believe I had never watched "My Neighbour Totoro" my entire life?

I corrected this mistake yesterday and I was delighted! Such a wonderful movie.

So I got inspired to draw a Totoro-Nurgling and his soot sprite rotfly-friend.

With all the AI-bros stealing Miyazaki-san's art, I wanted to give real kudos to him by adapting his love for the forces of nature, growth and the cycle of life into this little pic.

With all this AI Ghibli nonsence I present you some very real human made Totoro nook

Got a bit addicted and am binge watching "#Frieren - Beyond Journey's End" instead of doing house work chores - well, at least I achieved some progress with the #Totoro while at it. I'm considering redoing the belly or at least fill some of the holes though.

Les encours du moment :
1) la semaine dernière, je n'avais pas trop le moral alors quand j'ai vu cette pelote DMC #ArcEnCiel j'ai craqué... depuis j'ai envie de tricoter un chale avec des gouttes. J'ai associé ma pelote à un bleu canard en alpaga tout doux (couleur et douceur, un bon remède contre la tristesse) j'écris la recette en même temps que je bidouille. Je partagerai si c'est concluant.
2) le corps du pull #totoro est fini. Il me reste les bras et les yeux à broder (C'est très rose...)
3) je tricote des chaussettes abeilles
La première est finie. La deuxième tarde (le syndrome de la 2ème chaussette...)
