I have been receiving niblings these last few years, and they’re the perfect knitting recipients. They grow out of everything within a year, and I have to make something new.
This is a birthday gift for one of them. I didn’t have a two year old’s head to model it, so plastic skull will have to do. Look how happy she is!
It’s also a stash buster, with all yarn being scraps!

Here's the most recent songbird design! The final beak pattern may just have to be crocheted with embroidery floss for the best look without using fabric or paper. There are definitely details that need smoothing out before I can actually put together the pattern PDF to sell, but it's good progress!!

My hand-dyed yarn from sallyridgway.com.au/ arrived last night. The blues are for the Venezia shawl while the others will be for two shawls that I'm still deciding what patterns (also need a few more complementary skeins). They're for my young granddaughters who are into pinks and apricots.
Waiting on this month's sock club yarn & pattern to arrive as well as the yarn for another shawl.

I’m with my best friend in Kentucky and all the squares for the Kentucky Sampler Blanket finally got to meet! We framed them all in blue to get them close as possible to the same size. We start joining them this morning. It’s remarkable that two people eight hours away from each other managed to match our tension as well as we did. But then, I taught her. I’m so proud. I hope the owners of the B&B like it!
