Amazon Prime Video has doubled the running time of commercials it shows to subscribers since it launched ads, according to research from AdWeek. Viewers who don't subscribe to the platform's ad-free tier are now seeing up to six minutes per hour for a minimum $9/month fee. Even so, Amazon is still not considered to be in the highest tier of ad frequency. Most streamers sit at around five minutes an hour, while traditional linear TV is showing a whopping 13 to 16 minutes an hour. Here's more from @arstechnica.

"The Wheel of Time" has been canceled by Amazon Prime, more than a month after the Season 3 finale was released. The TV adaptation of the book series by Robert Jordan and Brandon Sanderson starred Rosamund Pike, Daniel Henney, Dónal Finn and Sophie Okenedo. Season 3 was the most critically acclaimed, with a 97% score on Rotten Tomatoes, but sources told @Deadline that overall performance was not strong enough compared to the cost.
