Before I had multiple #cargoBikes and I was taking the kid to preschool on an e- #xtraCycle every single morning, I had a keyfob garage door opener button in an inner tube zip-tied to the handlebar (ends folded over to seal out rain) that was super convenient for a few years until the battery died, and I've just finally cut it off to replace the battery. Now I need to re-seal it but also want something that can move between bikes rather than being in my pocket (what I've done for most of ~8yrs)

@floreana @fluids_guru @pluralistic Being a satisfied customer of Grin Tech https://ebikes.ca/ I can't recommend them enough: so long as Justin is the CEO/CTO and owner, this is an enshittification proof company! They don't sell complete bikes though, only kits and parts (some designed in house! like their Grin All-Axle hub motor). Their site is not solely an online store but a compendium of info for e-bike DIYers !
