La NASA a annoncé que le cargo #Cygnus NG-22 ne serait pas le prochain cargo de ravitaillement de l'ISS. Il est remplacé par le NG-23 dont le lancement est prévu pour l'automne 2025.
Le conteneur contenant la partie pressurisée du cargo NG-22 et le module lui-même ont été endommagés début mars pendant son transport vers le Kennedy Space Center.

The story goes that when Phaethon, the son of Helios, drove his father's chariot he lost control & Zeus/Jupiter had to kill him.

In the aftermath, Phaethon's lover, Cygnus, collected his bones to give him a proper funeral. The gods were so moved by this devotion, they put him in the night sky as a swan (who famously mate for life).

#Cygnus #NG21 : Le 1er allumage des moteurs n'a pas été effectué en raison d'un souci informatique a priori. La 2e tentative a échoué en raison d'un état de pression initial légèrement faible. Les ingénieurs de Northrop Grumman travaillent sur un nouveau plan de trajectoire.
Des allumages successifs des moteurs sont essentiels pour relever et circulariser l'orbite pour atteindre l'ISS.
L'amarrage à l'ISS est pour l'instant maintenu à mardi selon la NASA

Le cargo #Cygnus #NG21 est en route pour l'ISS. Il a décollé à bord d'une #Falcon9 à 15h02 UTC.
La capture par le bras robotique est prévue mardi 6 août à 7h10 UTC.

IC1318: Gamma Cygni Emission Nebula

Part of the extended Sadr region in Cygnus, albeit zoomed in a bit away from the bits everybody else shoots. This is IC1318, a big bag of hydrogen with interesting sworls and shell structures from a supernova remnant along with some strands of dark nebulae in the way. Luscious :)
