Each month, we do a cool thing on Liminal Fiction to support indie writers. We share 4 of their books with our readers for free, then add them (with permission) to the author lists. Grab 'em here (we send them out around the 3rd of next month):

An opinion piece. But IMHO (as goodd as this) we all know that Westminster Ministers typically only think of their own advantages - now and in the future. Others who will not benefit them are only of interest if it might effect their votes (and earning potential)
Politicians like to talk about the ‘optics’ - in this case it is reasonable to wonder whether Reeves has very very dark rose tinted spectacles.
‘Chancellor, who took family member to see Sabrina Carpenter at O2, says she understands public perceptions about politicians’ freebies’
It did not take Labour long to get their noses deep into the toughs.

Around 53 winter fuel payments worth of clothes if my calculations are correct.
It’s tough seeing politicians struggle so much they have to accept handouts.
It really makes your heart bleed.
Keir Starmer received more clothes worth £16,000 https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cdd4z9vzdnno
A cracker of an issue of Private Eye
When arguing that he needed a box for security at Arsenal (a view I had some sympathy with although it should be paid by the government) it seems that Sir Keir has been economical with l’actualité. He has been taking freebies well before he became PM - and surprise surprise, it may well be linked to the FAs wish to water down legislation that effects them. Text in alt on images
Has it not occurred to Starmer that:
a) we can't always have what we want?
b) he wanted to be PM, & he was pretty ruthless about it?
c) if he wants a corporate box, then he can always hire one for himself? It isn't a question of a stand seat or nothing.

(he could even afford to pay for it if he didn't wear such expensive specs)
d) Rachel Reeves is always telling us, "if you can't afford it, you can't do it".
