#OTD Eduard Strasburger, #Polish-#German #Professor & #Botanist, is born.
In 1882, he coined the terms “#Cytoplasm” and “#Nucleoplasm.”
Six years later, he was the first person to observe #Chromosomes, and he did it using the glorious #Fritillaria imperialis or the #Crown #Imperial #Lily.
What a gorgeous subject for such an important discovery!
