Swiss #chards growing. They've been harvested a few times already & still producing nice leaves & stalks.
I like letting some chard leaves grow super large & use them as a substitute wrapper for tamales.
Making some Chinese spinach & mustard greens soup for myself & my Mom. It will help our bodies cool down from inside out. Many different Asian hot soups have nutritional benefits & natural body cool down effects.
I grow 4 kinds of #sorrel on year round basis - common garden sorrel, Arctic dock, Belleville sorrel & Patience dock. The assorted sorrel salad greens pots are moved into small greenhouse in Winter. I do succession sowing every 2 weeks for continous harvest. I let the strongest plants go to seed & use those seeds to grow more.

I picked some pretty big #strawberries from our #FoodGarden
Transplanted some of my #BokChoy & purple #tomatillo plants into larger pots. These starters are all being picked up this weekend by a few of my regular plant buyers here. There's some folks who get plants from me, every year
Don't toss/compost your homegrown #PepperLeaves. #Harvest them because they're food. They can be used as herbs substitute if you don't have basil or mints. They can be cooked & eaten. They're nutritious, so start eating your pepper leaves!
Mom had told me that in her matriarch village, our relations grew & harvested #peppers & #leaves for many generations. It's used in many different Asian cultures as both food & medicine.

Ongoing soil remediation project is making slow & steady progress. Cardboard, topsoil, compost, woody debris, crushed seashells, seaweed, grass cuttings, leaf mulch are all breaking down together nicely.

These fruit melons are super sweet, juicy & delicious.
