Less than a week after Imbolc, and it's already starting to feel like Springtime here in Glasgow. This is today at my local crocus patch where they're rapidly emerging into bloom.

Breath condenses as mist rises from the meadow. Am I breathing the landscape, or is it breathing me? Meanwhile, the sky is falling in love with the crescent moon, blushes, and then goes up in flames.

I'm not a believer, but today is #Imbolc and that's something very positive after the dark time of the past months: https://www.pagangrimoire.com/what-is-imbolc-celebration/

welcoming imbolc
Happy #Imbolc! We’ve survived the darkest days of the year and are halfway between the winter solstice and the vernal equinox.
Happy Imbolc!
A small light in dark times. Hope is a flickering thing. Maybe kindle a roaring, furious, antifacist fire with it.
Done well, such a celebration could become a major attraction for both locals and tourists, and bring people into the city at an otherwise rather slow time of year. I'll admit I have no idea how to make such a thing happen, or where the money would come from to pay for it, but what do people think? Would you support the idea of Glasgow having an annual festival of architecture and light to mark Imbolc and the start of Spring?
Today is Imbolc, an ancient Celtic festival marking the beginning of Spring, which sees the return of both light and life to Scotland. Wouldn't this be the perfect time of year to highlight Glasgow's fantastic architecture by lighting up as much of it as possible? There's not much else around now, and Glasgow's buildings look extra special when lit up.
