After enjoying The Covenant of Water so much I decided that another saga might be in order. Read Pachinko. Well, what an engaging first half. I was entranced, fully involved in the lives and the learning about history and culture. But then the second half lost the magic, and I can't put my finger on exactly why. Wonder what the TV series is like.
