MapInfo was my first contact with GIS. In 2006-2007, when I was a student in urban geography, I used it to build a GIS of gated communities in Marseille.

MapInfo was as powerful as it was a nightmare in terms of user experience. I don't miss it, but using it taught me that even the least intuitive tool could be used with minimal hassle with a rigorous #RTFM approach :)

Énième exemple de #RTFM : si vous utilisez des adaptateurs #CPL et que le manuel vous explique qu'il faut les brancher directement sur la prise et pas genre sur une rallonge, bah faites pas comme moi, et branchez-les bien direct sur la prise murale !

Là j'ai refait les branchements de mon #pc et virer le connecteur cpl de la rallonge pour le mettre dans la prise murale : et bien le débit des internets à PRESQUE DOUBLÉ (x 1.8) !!!
