There’s a taco truck near my office that is having a Día de Los Muertos celebration today!!!
They gave everyone who came by two tamales and they have Mexican sweet bread out for everyone. One of the ladies is dressed in a sugar skull outfit and they have a couple of guys who are playing Norteño music.
My momma LUHHHVED Norteño music. She would have really loved being at this little place today.
It was SO neat!
Of course I cried… again…. thinking of my momma.

It's the most wonderful time of the year in Mexico: #dayofthedead, #diademuertos. The light has changed, the weather is dry and cool, and the streets smell of cempasuchitl. Everyone is setting up their altars at home, the office, in cemeteries and public spaces. We are all awaiting our loved ones.
