Three weeks on, the little flock has gelled. And, as expected, the ever-maternal Bee frequently hijacks wee Trudy, to her mum's consternation.

Challenges in our museum/cultural heritage centre work: searching for the swallow's nest to protect it from visitors. Not found yet, but fortunately it's not above the summer kitchen, which would be a hygiene problem.
Protecting the vegetable garden from the cheeky white hen that escapes at every opportunity and then works like a monster. We wait for her to sound the alarm at night for the police.
Worked in our #museum today. I'm doing this for years and always discover something new ... like this stone which has been lying there for decades. Sometimes the light changes ... et voilà.
This is also what our visitors love: they discover always new decorations, new stuff ...
We had almost no visitors in the museum today, and this was good - our buildings and rooms were used as a setting for a big photo shoot.
The photos were made for the catalogue of a local costume hire company (we also work with when we show historical demonstrations). I'll show you better photos tomorrow.
I'm fascinated how some people make a complete time travel when dressing up like this.
3/4 BTW, her travel was for this series in @insideclimatenews if you want to read about all the visits in detail: https://insideclimatenews.org/project/middle-ground/ it's about experiencing the #climateDesaster locally.
1/4 "Can you climb up the #empathy wall to the red states?" Meera Subranamian visited the #landscapes harmed by #climateCrisis and searched for the peoples' stories. "The partisan #divide that was once a rift had suddenly grown into a chasm, and I was no longer strong enough to shout across it ... #Communities dismantle. Those who remain, dig in, in body and mind both."
A great story about destroyed landscapes and Republicans: https://orionmagazine.org/article/united-in-change/
Yesterday was a special #goaturday . After losing dear ol' Mads (2011-2025) to old age in late March, and with just 2 elderly females left, the time had come to bring in some new girls. Say hi to Tiggy and li'l Trudy from Tipperary.
