#timechange

I agree with this unscientific poll about changing the time, AND keeping Standard Time permanently! It is what our bodies expect.

Now that the USA is a complete basket case can BC and Canada stop waiting for the USA to jump first and just get it over with already?

Ending the time change is the lowest of the low hanging fruit for "popular things to do".

JUST FOLLOW SCIENCE AND DO IT!

It's always been interesting to me how much the twice-annual #timechange affects the #dogs. For us, it's a hassle that serves no real purpose, but all the same, as long as society as a whole agrees on the arbitrary number on our clocks, it doesn't really disrupt our daily schedule. But dogs' lives aren't governed by the number on a clock. It takes three days for them to stop being confused about when food is coming and why everyone is going to bed so early.

<stomps on to Fediverse Square>
<set down soap box and steps up>

<screaming into the void> I HATE THE TIME CHANGE!!!! CONGRESS, STOP F***ING OFF AND PASS THE DAMN LEGISLATION!

<steps down and stomps away>

<sticks head back into the Fediverse Square> And I'm retired but I still have to manually reset 7 clocks/timers/thermostat/etc.

Dreading the time change this weekend?
You are NOT ALONE.

Many researchers agree, & it's especially challenging for teens.

Widome favors permanent Standard Time, which would set sunrise earlier—helpful to teenagers’ waking—despite earlier evening sunsets. Both Fuligni and Widome agree that the current switch from Daylight Saving Time that moves clocks ahead in spring is a challenging adjustment for teenagers.
