A pedestrian walkway passing above 21 lanes of on-ramps and off-ramps to the M8 motorway in the Anderston area of Glasgow. It's some fifty feet in the air, is very exposed to the environment (particularly the howling gales and driving rain that are not exactly uncommon in Scotland), and took about 50 years to complete. Probably not the city's best bit of urban planning.

It seems plans are being drawn up by a developer to demolish the building in the foreground right of this shot to construct student accommodation. It's the 1930s former City Bakery building, and while currently not listed, it is nonetheless an important building for the city, and a rather stylish one at that. It's also still in use, so there seems no justifiable reason to allow it to be demolished.
