In the early 2000s, I wrote a script for 3ds Max to automate tasks of the V-Ray renderer. Very imaginatively, I named it The V-Ray Automator.
It was covered as one of the 100 best MaxScripts in the French Pixel magazine.

**Hi guys, it's exactly 8 p.m. and a promise is a promise, here's the first part of my “Light Guide” that you can download for free. I hope the first part makes you want more. Have fun!**

On Sunday, I will publish the first part of my “Light-Guide”, which will be divided into several parts. In this “Light-Guide” I will show you methods and techniques that you don't see that often, but that have a great effect. The first part will be published this Sunday and another part will follow on each subsequent Sunday. I hope you have as much fun as you did with my “Glass-Guide” and if you have any special requests, please comment here.

Posted a new video discussing my technique for creating orthographic image planes for 3dsmax to use as templates to build 3d models. Check it out! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tZobMeFBTxo #3dmodeling #modeling #3d #3dsmax #photoshop #vfx #gamedev
I couldn't find any tutorial video about the ribbon technique to rigg a Spine on 3dsMax. So I made one:

Browsing through the new Extensions section (previously called "Add-ons") in the Blender 4.3 Alpha build preferences, I stumbled upon an extension that should be able to import native 3ds Max files. It even supports V-Ray and Corona materials. I haven't tested it yet, but I hope it works!
First “CloseUp-Test-Rendering” of the “AusZeit-Project” I have been working on for quite a while. Of course there will be several shots of the project and a short animation movie of about 3 minutes. But it will probably take a few more weeks until the release, because I still have to model some objects and then export the whole scene for the Unreal-Engine and that as good as possible, with little loss.

I have been working on an older project for some time and it is about to be completed. I have also modeled numerous objects for this project and will be making them available for free soon. For this particular project I have created a presentation scene like this one for the individual assets that are present in this interior project. Created in 3ds Max and VRay.

In the 2000s, I used to give lectures in working with 3ds Max and the V-Ray renderer. My students were mostly architectural visualizers.
Here I'm giving a 3ds Max + V-Ray workshop at the Dutch EUE 3D event, in a cool old bunker.
I give myself the full material science and try, test and learn like a madman to get everything out of VRay and Corona that is possible in terms of realism.

I modeled and staged the "Swedish Pause Bench" of "Broberg & Ridderstråle". Except for the magazines and the cushion, I modeled everything myself in 3ds Max 2025 and rendered it with Corona 11 Hotfix 2.
It's hard to believe, when I read some of the comments under some YouTube videos, I'm amazed at how immature some people are. They call out loudly for new 3ds Max features and that the upgrade isn't worth it, but they don't even know about the old features and functions that have been available in Max for 10 years.
While I still use #3dsmax, I may need to leave it behind one day, and so am exploring blender #b3d as an alternative. Here's 3 videos on youtube I made discussing my tests, hope they help other people like me interested in making the switch http://www.youtube.com/artofsoulburn
