Watched Alien: Romulus with the kids, their first time and they found it fun. Galaxy of Terror was crazy. F1 the Movie was enjoyable for the technical aspects of moviemaking. The Crash was a waste of time.

I watched it. I own a DVD copy of it. And, I forgot that I watched it & owned a copy of it. LOL! 
Flunssaelokuvana Alien, Romulus. Ei tuo nyt täysin sysipaska ollut, ennemminkin kohtalaisen onnistunut fanielokuva. Rasittavia teinejä, joista henkiin jää Rip...eiku Rain, joka yksin joutuu körmyyttämään örkkejä. Loppu oli huono ja viimeiset sanat suoraan ykkösalienista. #alienromulus #elokuvat
This weekend, I tried watching #AlienRomulus. I liked the actors, especially David Jonsson's Andy and Cailee Spaeny's Rain.
The premise of the film has a group of kids try to escape from their impressively depicted corporate hellhole of a planet using an old spaceship. Fun premise!
But then the #alien appeared and I remembered: "Oh yeah. I've already seen this movie... SEVEN. TIMES." and I turned it off. #movies
Maybe I should turn this premise into a #ttrpg adventure for #mothership?
Il cast molto giovane mi aveva inizialmente allarmato.
Invece, pur non reggendo il paragone con il primo #Alien e senza inventarsi nulla di nuovo, il film è gradevole e tiene incollati allo schermo fino alla fine.

1) it read as a weird fanboy callback (like other things in A:R imo)
2) uncanny valley gsjfdiksfjsd
3) just hire new actors for fucksake
4) why would there be identical versions of a sleeper agent android on other ships? hnnnngh. why would the cast of the Nostromo in Alien (1979) be surprised if this was a common model

I just watched the #JokerDeux (the musical).
I liked it better than #Joker1 & I also liked it better than #MadMaxFuriosa but not better than #AlienRomulus that I just watched too. So, I'd give it a 7 out of 10.
I don't usually like the roles #JoaquinPhoenix plays but he always seem perfectly suited to the role as the Joker to me.
I liked that the movie started with a cartoon & I liked the music because it was mainly limited to advancing "fantasy" scenes.
I expected the Joker to be killed & I thought Gaga's character would do it but she didn't &, in hindsight, it makes sense who did.
Joker2 was panned by the critics but I don't think they got how the movie made clear how his mind floated between reality & fantasy and how ultimately he was simply naive.
I just watched #AlienRomulus on DVD. I liked it better than #Furiosa which I gave a 6 & I liked it better than #Fury Road which I gave a 7.
So, just to be consistent, I'd give #Romulus an 8. However, I'd drop all those ratings by 1 when compared with better films.
The ending in #Romulus was just as predictable as the ending in Furiosa but I found the movie more engaging & it had some surprises along the way that I wasn't expecting.
I liked that way that the main character channels #Ripley.
In terms of the chronology of events Romulus apparently comes between #Alien1 (1976) & #Aliens2 (1986).
Didn't like the weird hybrid #Alien all that much but it made sense in the context of the film & it's a nod to the hybrid in #AlienResurrection (1997) which comes much later in the series.

Not a GREAT movie but certainly entertaining and a respectable addition to the now 9 movie Alien series IMO.
Just ordered #MadMaxFuriosa, #JokerDeau & #AlienRomulus on DVD from #Amazon. They should all arrive by the end of the week.
Only bought them to because they're sequels to other movies already in my DVD collection.
It's sad but I think Furiosa will be the best of the lot. We'll see . . .

I'm not awarding any stars, I quite liked #Conclave, definitely better than the supposed blockbusters like the terrible works #Furiosa or #AlienRomulus. So far this year, #CivilWar has impressed me the most.
Let's see what else is coming.
