@cbcnews I’m glad #CBC has published this gentle explainer but readers should know that what’s in this article has been know for more than 100 years. The impacts have been understood and explained for many decades. The problem is that governments have not acted. They have not acted because fossil fuels interests have spent billions to sow mis- and disinformation. They have ‘bought’ and control parties like the #CPC. Do something now.

@jfmezei I don't remember anything about "wokeness" from the #CPC in the final week of the campaign. Maybe I missed something.
The Conservatives, rightly or wrongly, have a belief that the national press is hostile to them, and therefore that tight message discipline is key in order to talk about what they want to talk about. Imagine on day 20 you present a capital gains tax policy, but all the questions from reporters are about abortion, on which you've said in the past you're pro-choice...

Yes, it would be nice to have more inside story than what we go in that article. #Macleans used to do good campaign retrospectives, but I don't know if they still do.
As usual, you and I saw a very different #CPC campaign for some reason. Based on what I heard on #CBCradio, read in the newspaper, and saw on Twitter, the campaign was almost entirely about quality of life: housing costs, crime, lack of growth, inflation. You think it was all about culture wars and "anti-woke".
