Schools are back in session and the weather has cooled down to the traditional Finnish standard (along with rain). A vertical composition of a lake landscape painted in oil paint on canvas. The horizon is set high in the composition and is a mix of dark, almost black, shadows and sunlit sap green forest on the far shoreline. The sky is blue and full of white clouds. The water’s surface is calm and reflects the overhead clouds. In the foreground the water is speckled with white refections and you can see hints of brown and ochre rocks under the surface.

The heatwave continues in Finland, and this is what I’m expecting unless some rain shows up…
