Wearing Ease vs. Design Ease 📏⁠

Ease is the extra width and length that pattern designers add into their pattern pieces. Wearing ease is the minimum ease that you add so that people can move around in their clothes. Design ease is added just for the look of it! For example, in Helen's most recent design, the #FalconerPants, there is minimum wearing ease from the waist to the hips - then there is design ease added to the legs to create the barrel shape! ⁠

This is my #introduction post.
I am TEACOZY, i make #folkpunk , sometimes #punk music, sometimes #FolkMusic and sometimes i don't know how to label my #music.

I also make #animation, #visualart and I love to #sew. I am excited to have heard about #mastodon as a way to step away from the other apps.

This is a little video I made a while back for a song I wrote called 'Debris' which is about #community and creating hope when it feels like there is none.
