So many bees getting busy amongst the pink flowers of a gumtree (Corymbia 'Summer Glory').

Another whacky native found in #Australia.

Botanic Gardens, Canberra

#WondersOfNature: Eucalyptus deglupta, commonly known as the #Rainbow #Eucalyptus, is a species of tall #Tree that is native to the Philippines, Indonesia, and Papua New Guinea.

As rainbow eucalyptus sheds its bark, it reveals a neon green inner layer. Over time, as this layer is exposed to air, it ages into different colors - bright reds, oranges, blues, pinks and purples.

This guy swooped me from the tree outside my place as I headed out for a walk yesterday. He then perched in the tree ahead watching me, including as I walked around the base of the tree taking a few photos. Cheeky.
