Have you gotten communications — documents, emails, CVs, ... — that supposedly were written by actual people (I'm not talking spam, but supposedly legit contects) but where people by accident copied or left in the #GenAI prompt as well …?

Which XMPP server do you recommend and why?

Edit: I deployed ejabberd with Docker yesterday, and it's working pretty well compared to the earlier versions I tried. I think I'll stick to it for now.

I’m kinda done with Mastodon. It’s been my main spot, but it’s missing quote posting, which drives me nuts—I just wanna comment on posts without resharing everything! Also, it’s eating up my server’s resources, and I’m running a bunch of stuff on one machine, so I need something that doesn’t hog CPU or disk space.

I used Akkoma with Mangane frontend before and really liked how light and customizable it was. Problem? The database got huge, and I couldn’t find simple tools to clean out old stuff. It was like digging through a messy closet. I’m thinking of trying Akkoma again, but is there a way to keep the database under control?

I’m also looking at Misskey—it seems fun with quote posting and a cool community. But does it use a lot of server resources? How hard is it to back up or move to another server? I’d love Mastodon API support since my clients need it.

Which platform do you enjoy more?

Is it just me or has anyone else noticed that there's an uptake in the number of people one needs to explain things to repeatedly?

Both until they "get" it the first time, and even then repeatedly because they appear to have forgotten?

For people who use filters to keep their timeline clean of stuff they dont care for/like, does it make a difference to you if someone uses CW vs Tags as long as the filter is able to block it?

Settle my argument that the subculture described in the #Scifi setting of #Modders is not unreasonable...

Imagine you lived in a future where #BodyModification technology was at the point that you could quickly and cheaply get pretty much a full rework of your body, and one of these was a potentially reversible procedure to make you an IRL #Furry by giving you #anthropomorphic #animals features, such as fur, tail, muzzle, etc. Imagine this is mature technology, and normalized enough, that there will be no medical or societal ramifications if you get such modifications.
