@shifter I use these abmask reusable anti-fog lens cloths to stop my glasses fogging up. Discovered them in 2020. Initially marketed to key workers but then on general sale in pharmacies. Annoyingly now mostly gone again. You can also get disposable ones, but why would you?

I am greatly encouraged by the swift indictment for murder in this case. Despite the driver blaming the cyclist this quote perfectly sums up the situation:
«Quand un véhicule se retrouve face à un piéton ou un cycliste qui n’a pas de carapace autour de lui, il y a une réelle volonté plus que de nuire, de tuer. Ce ne sont pas les mêmes armes. Ce monsieur a tué avec son arme qui est sa voiture»
Looking north down Kirkstone Pass, last climb of the day and an hour or so of daylight left. Shorter than I'd thought at 3.6km but with a good 1.5km at 10-20% right at the top. At this point my max heart rate was mid zone 3 but I needed to generate Z4-5 power, so I had a moment about 900m short of the top to let everything come back to normal. #cycling #LakeDistrict #BikeToot #velophant
Everything was in spate after the recent rain. Before I'd even got to Wrynose I had to wade a flooded bit of road that otherwise would have washed the grease out of the axle bearings. This is looking down to Buttermere from Newlands Hause. A sod of a climb on the "conventional" Fred Whitton, coming after Honister Pass and the feed stop (i.e. opportunity to get cold and eat too much) at YHA Buttermere. Last Saturday: 175k bike ride, nearly fell asleep at my mother in law's birthday meal.
This Saturday: 105k bike ride, with 40.min to go until drinks and takeaway with the neighbours I put my chances of staying awake at 50/50
