Bought the big box of the Anno 1602 base game a couple of weeks ago and now I also own the addon big box "New Islands, New Adventures" in a very nice condition and CIB.

Started into Anno 1602 on stream when I bought the base game and instantly felt in love with it again like when I was a kid.

Looking forward to start into mission no. 10 of the base game scenario tomorrow after waking up.

It's #VGMWednesday again, and although @miona has pointed out there are technically no themes anymore (sorry if I got that wrong! ), I'm still gonna use her post as an inspiration, simply because it makes picking so much easier!

Mission 7 of the Anno 1602 campaign was the hardest so far. I was disturbed by pirates nearly all the time.
By looking into the manual I luckily found out that they accept protection money and therefore stay away from my ships.

It was also the first mission tasking me to settle the highest population tier, the aristocrats.
Although this is the first title in the Anno series, it's already quite complex and challenging.

Timeless graphics once again made me addicted to #Anno 1602.

I finished mission no. 5 "The Trial" from the base game campaign offstream yesterday. It was the first challenging one. Getting 500 citizens also means getting a lot of resources.

In the end it worked out fine and my people even build me a golden statue (in the middle of the screenshot) to honor my efforts.

So there are 11 missions more to come and I can't wait to get into them.

Tomorrow there will be my premiere streaming a Retro PC game. I recently bought the Anno 1602 big box and now want to go for the adventures I remember from my childhood.

While there is #Proton to run modern games on #Linux I had some struggles running the more than 25 years old Anno 1602 and stream at the same time. But after a few hours I figured out the necessary #Wine and #OBS settings and now hope for a seamless stream.
