The Anemone tomentosa Robustissima. It will soon turn into beautiful pink flowers, but I also enjoy the buds, especially for photographing. Against a dark green background, a Japanese anemone stem emerges from below. Just above it, a large green leaf, horizontal, pointed to the left, with deep veins and serrated edges. Behind it, more leaves, through which the sun shines. Between them, delicate stems with buds emerge. Several round, white, hairy buds cluster together on a stem. A spider's web is visible between the buds.

#doorsday The entrance to Delft's beautiful Renaissance-style town hall. Photographed during a bike ride a few weeks ago. The town hall's original construction dates back to 1200, but it has burned down, been rebuilt, and renovated many times over the centuries. The staircase and the beautiful stone canopy in front of the door were demolished. However, in the twentieth century, the town hall was restored to the design of Hendrick de Keyser (1618-1620).
