Je checks rarement...
Je regarde ce soir boinc.. la liste des projets scientifiques semble de plus en plus réduite... Des mois que mon PC ne semble calculé que sur la recherche sur le cancer, parfois le COVID... Ça a me rend triste que des labos ou université ne semble plus avoir besoin de puissance de calcul. C'est que mon impression ?

L. olor is featured in Science because Prakash and Flaum have discovered in this behavior a new geometric mechanism previously unknown in biology. And they are the first to explain how such a simple cell can produce such incredible #morphodynamics, beautiful #folding and unfolding – aka origami – at the scale of a single cell, time and again without fail.

Unadorned, solid lines show the positions of other boundaries, many of which we interpret as the boundary between the upper and lower Crescent Formations, especially where they are positioned parallel to and between two reverse faults. All lines closely follow linear maximum gradients identified from the pseudogravity map (Figure 5), however, dotted lines indicate linear features that are less certain. Solid boundaries and reverse faults in the Olympic Mountains (bordering the area marked as mapped upper and lower Crescent Formations) also have geologic mapping support. Labels identify major tectonic elements corresponding to the text and the light brown lines indicate the positions of the geophysical models in Figures 8-10. Very cool chevron fold in a gray shale cliff at Hartland Quay, Devon, UK. The rock is about 320 million years old.

I couldn't tell the scale from this pic, but I was able to find another photo that had a human in it. That cave opening looks to be around 10 ft/3 m high.
