@itsfoss I found a stack of Mint install CDs in the spring, going back to my first, #LinuxMint 5 in 2008! After copying them back.to ISO files, I have a Mint 5 VM running in #LinuxMintDebianEdition 6, and what's striking to me is how familiar the old system feels. Under the hood it's different, GNOME 2 is not Cinnamon, yet it's still recognizably Mint.
Yesterday I decided to distro hop from Fedora. Fedora is incredibly polished and I'll probably end up using it in the long run. But while I'm in the mood I want to try out other distros too.
I gave Rocky Linux a shot but it was slow as hell. Also, it warned me at the boot start-up that some drivers might be deprecated.
I tried Alma Linux and it was the same situation as Rocky Linux.
I ended up installing Linux Mint (LMDE). Kinda excited since it's been a while since I've used something Debian based. I had to install it twice due to corruption, but so far so good! 
More salt: #lmde for #LinuxMintDebianEdition would be "better" because normal mint is ubuntu based.

@ChrisWere I changed over to Linux Mint Debian Edition last night - a clean install. A little fussiness on the first boot, but that could be my computer. After that it was just reloading the few graphics apps I use. Overall, an excellent Mint experience. It should be the default.
Ich möchte aus verschiedenen Gründen nicht von Ubuntu 20.04. LTS auf Ubuntu 22.04. LTS updaten.
Deswegen überlege ich schon seit längerem zu einer anderen #Linux-Distribution zu wechseln. Hierbei kam in die engere Auswahl folgende Distributionen in seiner jeweils aktuellsten Version[1]:
