Och schön, dass wenn man abends büschen chillig #CrusaderKings3 / #CrusaderKings daddeln will, sich #PopOS gestern mit dem #Update selbst aus dem Sein geballert hat! 
Also jetzt am Abend 'ne #Neuinstallation... Dann ma' #NobaraLinux ausprobieren... Kost' ja bloß Zeit...

I’ve ordered a #ThinkPad t520 that appears to be in pretty good shape. Now I just have to figure out what #Linux distro to daily drive on it. 
I’ve used #NobaraLinux and #pop_os on other machines, but as this one won’t be used for gaming for obvious reasons, I have lots of other choices.

Nobara Linux :
- Le PC shut down dés qu'il boot sur la clé USB si on désactive pas secure boot dans le bios (bon pourquoi pas)
- Met 30 ans à ouvrir le bureau pour l'installeur
- Le système entier freeze chez moi d'une façon ou d'une autre pendant l'install (parfois avant même qu eje commence)
C'est *un peu* chiant :p
En vrai je vais reodnner sa chance à Fedora 40 en passant à X11 plutôt que Wayland parce que j'ai le malheur d'avoir une Nvidia.

I do wish that you had a question about secondary or multiple computers. As a hobbyist, I have 2 Linux-exclusive laptops, 1 laptop and 1 desktop that dual-boot Linux and macOS, 1 Linux-only desktop, and 3 Raspberry Pi SBCs.
My current distro of choice is @ultramarine, with my hybrid graphics laptop running #NobaraLinux, but for friends and family I strongly recommend #LinuxMint.

Fedora 38 ist raus, David Wolski stellt auf @heiseonline die Neuerungen vor. Zum Beispiel ist #Gnome 44 dabei. #NobaraLinux hat im Discord derweil angekündigt, den Support für Nobara 36 einzustellen. Ein Update auf Nobara 37 ist daher angeraten. Version 38 wird nun auf der Basis von #Fedora 38 vorbereitet.
Da wo andere das Thema #Gaming mit einem vorinstallierten #Steam-Client abhaken, fängt #NobaraLinux erst an: Alles dabei, was man für Games, Livestreams, Videoschnitt usw. braucht. Auch so nette Details wie die richtigen Plugins für #OBS, getrennte #pipewire-Audioquellen für Anwendungen, um Sachen einzeln stumm zu schalten. Was man sonst eben erst selbst konfigurieren müsste.
