Next week, our #DigitalHistoryOFK starts again, and we can’t wait! 🎉

We’re excited to present a diverse and international program for the winter semester 2024/25. This semester will feature talks on #NFDI4Memory, #DataEthics, #QueerStudies, #GameStudies, #digitalSourceCriticism, and a variety of computational methods!

👉 Program: dhistory.hypotheses.org/digita

The colloquium will take place via Zoom and is open to everyone interested in #DigitalHistory & #DigitalHumanities!

Want to see me doing cool things? Curious what the heck I mean when I talk about #TransingPeace ?

Well, check out this seminar I held the other day at the Kroc School of Peace Studies at University of San Diego! Once upon a time, I wanted to study there, and now I got to go and be brilliant there and show off, hehehe 😁

Putting the last few updates on the seminar I'm presenting today on transing peace and conflict studies...and finding renewed confidence.

Yesterday, I felt so much anxiety and uncertainty. It has been over six months since I last really engaged with any of my scholarly work since I crashed out of my PhD and got ground out of a research career. I thought maybe I couldn't do this kind of thing anymore. Maybe I've lost the thread.

10 minutes into updating my presentation and I'm like, oh yeah, I forgot, I'm one of the only experts in the world on this exact topic 😅😅😅

Anyway, if you're in #SanDiego, you can come to the #KrocCenter at #UniversityOfSanDiego to participate! Or, if you're elsewhere, it will be streamed on Zoom and you can register at the link below!

Lambda awards are out, so now I can say that I was on the jury in the LGBTQ+ Studies category!

I absolutely loved the winner we chose, Keeping It Unreal: Black Queer Fantasy and Superhero Comics by Darieck Scott.

Going to give this a Sunday boost in case anyone missed it and would like to check out the new short-form writing project I'm trying here on the fediverse. I will be exploring topics through the lens of an overeducated trans femme centering queer perspectives on society.

#TranspiringConsiderations : Death Stalks Us

How does the constant visibility of anti-trans violence shape our relationships to our lives?
