I could make it a #gloom & #doom post but the backlash is a normal part of the #change process. When things change, many people’s response is to push back because they feel uncertain, threatened or disagree. Those in power don't want to lose privileges and profit. Resignation?
There was so much fog the further up the road you went, the idea of driving down it was scary.
In 2020, dev Swizpig source ported the #Amiga #Doom clone, Gloom, to modern systems, but sadly it hasn't been updated since release. Which is a shame, because it had potential to be used to port other games that used the #Gloom engine.
