It would be so nice if all databases, caches, search engines and the like would use a common standard for authentication and selecting the service or database. Preferably also with encryption, so how about mTLS with a service field in the CN?

So I just casually merged such a small Pull Request extending „a bit” my workshop exercises in #Java.

Wanna see how to implement event stores on top of #PostgreSQL or #Mongo? How to use #EventStoreDB? Why not!
I’m going to have a few open and private workshops teaching #EventSourcing in practice. You can also join them or schedule one.
Or, you can try to do exercises as a self-paced kit, as I’m always open sourcing all of them. That’s not the full workshop experience, but can be good enough
I was very interested in writing a messenger and I would like to know what stacks I need What I came up with now: #rust #redis #mongo #rabbitmq And for my protocol https://github.com/lemunozm/message-io

If i die in another russian missile attack, please, complete this almost finished attempt at adding types to mongoengine.
It's half merged types from mongo-types, and some handcrafted stuff.
It almost works, and i plan to finish it in a few days.
Hey, folks! Are you using #mongo with #django ? What libraries are you using?
We started with #django-mongoengine long time ago, and it was not really well supported, so i stepped in as maintainer.
But, the idea behind django-mongoengine is to monkey-patch everything django needs into mongoengine classes, and it's really ugly.
Probably we should switch to raw #mongoengine. But it would require us to write something instead of django-admin for accessing data.

i don't know how i feel about this.
i can write the queries, but also if it can do it better and quicker than me - that's good?
I'm currently rethinking how I store data in bovine. I have written up some of my thoughts in the Readme here. The implementation is still very much a work in progress ...
What is missing from README is that ActivityPub collections are a headache to store.
Good luck! Hope this helps make your decision.
Should we use #NoSQL databases to implement #ActivityPub?
Finding people to follow on #Mastodon can be hard! We all hear it. We all feel it. Well, I built a little tool for myself to find new people to follow, and in the spirit of getting feedback I'm sharing it with you all here: https://fedipages.com
