life got me wondering: with the success of so many job simulator games, are there quitting simulators? then i found this text adventure of the horror genre, Quit Your Job Simulator 2014: philome.la/inurashii/quit-your

it was fun! i need more of this.

(there is also a game in progress from a different developer called Quitting Simulator, which sounds interesting too)

Considering #quitting much more strongly than ever before. Friday’s events broke a lot of my trust in my colleagues. I do not like feeling like I’m expected to be a mind reader, nor do I like people assuming I was not taking a problem seriously, and I also don’t like that someone decided to start implementing a solution that would involve my team without telling me. The first is also a massive trigger for me, and all of it is bad form.

Americans wrapped up 2022 by quitting more. The overall quits rate grew in November after staying steady or declining for nine months, according to new data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics. The overall quits rate climbed from 2.6% in October to 2.7% in November. Quits in the private sector hit 3% again, an increase from 2.9% the previous month. Every so often I remind myself that 11 years ago I quit smoking.

That was after 35 years of hardcore Marlboro Red or Gitanes or Gauloises puffery (I blame David Bowie for those brand choices BTW).

Giving up smoking is possible, keep it up if you're trying.
